I think it's important to accommodate teaching to all cultures, including indigenous students. Scientific and/or mathematical terminology in the classroom could be used for that purpose. We have to keep in mind, of course, to keep the standards of science, so that our students are able to contribute to the global enterprise of knowledge. Cultural affinity and the indigenous ways of knowing, cannot be overlooked and we have to try our best to include everyone and their belief systems.
